About Me

Hi, I’m Ellie — the founder and maker behind Ellie Studio.

I’ve been a designer for over 10 years and am currently based in the Bay Area, where I create handmade pieces that bring beauty and joy into everyday life.

Right now, my work centers around Nerikomi, a traditional Japanese technique of layering colored clay to form intricate, patterned surfaces. Each piece is made slowly and intentionally, celebrating the unexpected details that emerge through the process. I’m also exploring 3D printing as a creative tool, and I’m excited about the possibilities of combining digital precision with the warmth of handcraft in future collections.

Each item in my shop is made in small batches and one of a kind. I believe in creating objects that are not only functional, but also meaningful, designed to bring a quiet sense of delight to your daily rituals.

I work out of my home studio (part garage, part backyard), where every item is made in small batches with care. As my business grows, I hope to one day move into a dedicated studio space and expand what Ellie Studio can offer.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you find something that speaks to you.
